Microsoft made a massive move by acquiring Activision Blizzard for $70 billion, but it’s not the only big name in games brokering deals. Sony has answered by scooping up Bungie, the studio that originally brought us Halo and currently focuses on Destiny 2. As reported by GI.biz, this is a $3.6 billion purchase for Sony. That’s considerably less than what Microsoft is paying for its own deal, but keep in mind that this is a single studio versus a conglomerate....

Star Trek: Discovery jumps to UK television. The once streaming show will be making the transition to Channel 4 in 2020. CBS Studios International has struck up a deal with Channel 4. The new licensing agreement is for the “linear television premiere” of Star Trek: Discovery. The deal also covers the CBS owned comedy series Man with a Plan starring Matt Leblanc. Star Trek: Discovery will still exclusively be shown on CBS All Access in the United States and on Netflix in the United Kingdom....

Koei Tecmo America announced the release of Samurai Warriors 4-II earlier today. SMITE on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One received the 3.5 update from Hi-Rez Studios Monday. The latest update to the third-person MOBA on consoles is notable for the addition of Skadi, Norse Goddess of Winter, but also because it upgrades gameplay from 30 frames per second (fps) to 60. The 3.5 update for SMITE on consoles is now live and available to try out.
