According to a report in the Nikkei, Sony and TSMC are considering a joint venture to create a new chip manufacturing plant in Japan. The total expected investment would be around $7 billion, a considerable investment in the future of chip technology. The plant would be located in Kumamoto in southern Japan, and part of the cost would be covered by the Japanese government. It is expected that the factory would produce semiconductors for cameras, automobiles, and gaming consoles....

PlayStation 4 reviews went live yesterday and exclusives for the game got average scores. In some cases, like Knack, the game saw quite a few very low scores. According to one industry insider, Sony’s next State of Play might take place as early as Aug. 5. Jeff Grubb, VentureBeat’s gaming reporter, has alleged that the next PlayStation-oriented livestream could be just around the corner, with the potential for another presentation to occur between August 5 and 11. The developer behind the trilogy has just confirmed via a blog post that the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been delayed from September 21, 2018, to November 13, 2018. A video game inspired by Netflix’s popular original series, Squid Game, is leaking players’ IP addresses, said the game’s developer, Dani, on Twitter. The developer advised streamers to avoid public lobbies for the time being until the issue is addressed. “The game is built on Facepunch Steam P2P networking, which seemed like a fast and good solution. Bandai Namco has announced that the upcoming action RPG Scarlet Nexus’ demo will be arriving on Xbox a full week before the PlayStation version lands. People with Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One consoles will be able to play the demo on May 21, while PlayStation 4 and PS5 owners will be waiting until May 28.
