Pirates are in for a holiday cheer. The Festival of Giving has returned to Sea of Thieves and this time with more generous rewards, challenges and more. The holiday season has taken over the seas as well and the pirates are in a mood of sharing and having fun. The Festival of Giving in Sea of Thieves Season 5 will have limited-time challenges and Pirate Emporium cosmetics as well as a new tattoo set and a new bucket in line with the holiday event....

Rum-swilling buccaneer-em-up Sea of Thieves is already well into another year of content updates and events. Following on from the Forts of the Forgotten story event and a weeklong celebration of netting one million Pirate Legends in the game, developer Rare showed off a brand new trailer today for the game’s newest upcoming story adventure, “The Shrouded Deep,” kicking off later this month. Working alongside familiar NPCs Merrick and Belle, players will sail the seas to find and summon the Shrouded Ghost, the rarest Megalodon in the game, and seek the Veil of the Ancients, an artifact said to hold a terrible power....

Shadow Warrior 2 is set to be making its way to PC later this year, as the developer has confirmed that it will officially be launching this Fall. They made the announcement on their official Twitter page, confirming that the game will be out in less than two months and that you can now wishlist it on Steam. Of course, they didn’t give a specific release date (or even month) in their announcement, though “less than two months” will more than likely land it somewhere in October....

Focus Interactive has released the latest trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments ahead of E3 2014. Slated for release later this year on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, Crimes and Punishments features six different unique investigations to tackle with Holmes. The entire video game industry is mourning the loss of Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata. While his various health issues had been known, the severity was never fully understood, causing his death to come as a shock to many. Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto is among them today, with a statement he issued to IGN about his friend’s passing. Miyamoto stated “I am surprised at this sudden news and overcome with sadness....

Fan-favorite demon Black Frost was revealed for Shin Megami Tensei V, a stronger version of the former Atlus mascot Jack Frost. Black Frost is the 144th demon announced for Shin Megami Tensei V, out of a confirmed 214 demons. The trailer shown for Black Frost shows off a bit of his presence in the game’s story, as well as his potential moves. Typically, Black Frost appears in a Shin Megami Tensei game as a brief bout of comic relief, and that trend seems to carry over to Shin Megami Tensei V as well....

Sirfetch’d is a Pokemon Sword exclusive confirmed from a new video posted to the Official Pokemon Youtube channel. Farfetch’d that inhabit the Galar region will be able to evolve into Sirfetch’d, once they get enough experience points. Sirfetch’d is a Fighting-type who appears to be on a one duck mission to make the other Pokemon eat their vegetables. For some strange reason the Skate 3 servers are back online. Something quite strange is happening with Skate 3 that’s got many thinking that E3 2018 will hold some sort of announcement regarding the series. For those that have been holding out hope that EA will come to their senses and make a Skate 4, recent activity on the Skate 3 servers might be signalling just that. Today, back-end servers returned for Skate 3 and this is allowing players to access content in the game that’s long been gone due to these servers being offline....

Sony has revealed its full games lineup for the 2016 Tokyo Game Show. It includes playable demos for the likes of Resident Evil 7 and more. There’s a lot of playable PS4 games from many different publishers. Resident Evil 7 seems to be the headliner as it was listed first. As promised earlier last month, Sony has today unveiled the Xperia 5 II (read Xperia 5 Mark 2) as a compact version of its Xperia 1 II flagship smartphone. It may be seen as the younger sibling to the Xperia 1 II but it one-ups the device with some meaningful upgrades. Thanks to Game Informer’s coverage, we’re able to learn and share more details about the upcoming Spider-Man PS4 game, and in particular about the suit and the white logo which has yet to find an explanation despite being showcased in every trailer of the title thus far.
