The developers at Ska Studios, known for their works on the Dishwasher series and Charlie Murder have announced Salt And Sanctuary for Playstation 4 and PS Vita. “The emphasis in Salt and Sanctuary is stylistic sidescrolling combat: weapons have movesets, air attacks have hang time, and rolling is king. There’s a huge amount of depth to the combat in Salt, however. Weapons can be one-handed and paired with shields or offhand crossbows for versatility, or wielded two-handed for added power — and every configuration has its own unique moveset....
Nintendo has just revealed the existence of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening‘s remake for Nintendo Switch. But, based on intel gathered by insider Vergeben, it looks like it’s not the only The Legend of Zelda game in the making at Nintendo. Vergeben has accurately leaked Ridley, Simon Belmont, Ice Climbers, Incineroar and Ken for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The platform owner is indeed reported to be working on a “smaller” 2D Zelda game, which is rumored to be ready to be announced in the coming months....

Sonic Mania Plus is on its way, and fans now have a release date for when they can expect the game to launch. A new trailer shared by Sega earlier today reveals Sonic Mania Plus will land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on July 17. The video shows off in-game footage from the upcoming rerelease, including the game’s new characters Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Squirrel. Both originally debuted in SegaSonic the Hedgehog, a platformer arcade game released in Japan between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3....
Soul Calibur V will be releasing later this month in the US, and early next month in Europe, and apparently the game has been completed according to a recent press release from Namco Bandai. Good thing, we were getting awfully close to release date. Either way, new screenshots for the fighter have been released as well, and the massive bunch of screenshots show many of the characters in action. SOULCALIBUR V takes place 17 years after the events of SOULCALIBUR IV and continues the epic story of warriors in search of the legendary Soul Swords in 17th century Europe....

Insomniac Games has released Patch 1.10 for Spider-Man PS4. The update is pretty big in size just over 5 GB and adds some interesting change that should have been in the game right from day one. Yes, you read it correctly, there are some changes in Patch 1.10 that Spider-Man PS4 should have supported right from the day of the launch. After installing Patch 1.10, players will be able to hide the mini-map and control hints on the HUD....

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS released exactly one month ago today to very impressive reviews, including its much improved gameplay from the one seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was almost unplayable most of the time. However, an issue is popping up for some that is banning players for more than their lifespan. Pointed out by some throughout Twitter and the Super Smash Bros. subreddit, a few players have been banned for an extremely long period of time for no reason, around 136 years to be exact....
There is a solace for “life and hometown” fans who’ve been waiting hopelessly for Senran Kagura 7EVEN. Today, Compile Heart and Tamsoft announced a Senran Kagura and Hyperdimension Neptunia crossover title, Senran Nin Nin Ninja Taisen Neptune: Shoujo-tachi no Kyouen. The game will launch in 2021 in Japan for PlayStation 4. Any plans for a Western release haven’t been announced yet. Showcased in the Game Live Japan event live stream, Senran Nin Nin Ninja Taisen Neptune will feature a huge cast of characters from both franchises including Neptune (Purple Heart) and Asuka....
The game’s largest hub and jungle combat were shown in new gameplay. At this year’s E3, I was able to get a behind closed doors look at some new Shadow of the Tomb Raider gameplay, before getting to try some of it out myself. During the gameplay presentation, I got a look at the hidden city of Paititi, the largest hub in any Tomb Raider game, before getting some hands-on time with a section of the game focusing on the jungle combat....
Since it is the final chapter in the young Lara saga, it was almost a given that Shadow of the Tomb Raider would be featuring the iconic dual pistols that have made the original franchise this popular for ages. Anyway, according to game director Dan Bisson, it looks like this won’t be the case – the PC, PS4 and Xbox One title won’t be featuring dual pistols, as the “signature weapon” for Lara will still be the bow....
After an extremely successful Kickstarter the retro-platformer Shovel Knight will hit Wii U, 3DS, and PC on June 26th. The game has been a fan sensation at various conventions, such as PAX and Minecon.
