McDonald’s Australia has had plans for a PlayStation 5 controller giveaway scuppered by the long arm of Sony. The company had planned on giving away the controllers as part of the celebrations of 50 years of doing business in Australia. Sony, however, has stepped in to put a stop to this for one very simple reason: they were not loving the idea. Video game developer Cryptic Studios and publisher Perfect World Entertainment have announced the newest season of the free-to-play MMORPG Star Trek Online, House United, is now available for PC captains. House United is currently planned for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 3. At NYCC 2015, Hasbro has revealed what the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Black Series Han Solo figurine looks like. IGN posted several photos of the toy and it looks kind of inaccurate. The costume and facial features look good, but the one thing that stands out like a sore thumb is the color of the hair. The second trailer for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens released back in April shows that Han Solo has grey hair....

Now that the dust has settled on Star Wars Battlefront 2, it’s time for EA to monetize that sucker and they’ll be doing so “in the next few months,” according to Blake Jorgensen in an explanation to the Wall Street Journal. The Star Wars video game called “Trials on Tatooine” will be coming to the Star Wars Celebration Europe event in London later this year. The game is compatible with the HTC Vive device. Last week, a comedy legend left us. Breaking the hearts of fans across the world, John Witherspoon passed at the age of 77. Two of the Switch’s biggest games are getting VR compatibility. Nintendo is getting ready to drop their fourth Nintendo Labo DIY Kit soon, with the Labo VR Kit scheduled to release next week. The Kit will come with its own games, as past Labo Kits have, but a couple of existing games will be gaining some VR compatibility that players can use their Labo VR Kits with as well. Nintendo recently announced that the critically acclaimed games Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be gaining some VR compatibility soon that players can access with the Labo VR Kit....
