The next installment of the Splinter Cell franchise is on the way, although Ubisoft Toronto has yet to officially announce the game. A leaked release schedule listed the next Splinter Cell title as Splinter Cell: Retribution, and studio head Jade Raymond recently talked briefly (see teased) about how the game will differ from Splinter Cell: Conviction. “It will have all of the action flick elements for sure, but we’re trying to also explore something a little bit more interesting that is actually one of the themes that’s at the root of the franchise historically, but never has been surfaced so much,” Raymond told CVG....
Developer 1047 Games announced that information about the future for the company and Splitgate will be announced September 13. The company’s announcement is planned for 8 AM PT, with a developer talk live stream to follow. 1047 Games will share the announcement live on their Twitch channel. Splitgate is a first-person multiplayer game developed by 1047 Games. The game is often described as Halo meets Portal. It has a similar aesthetic to classic Halo from the 2000s, while also using weapons that harken back to those old Bungie titles....
Square Enix has copyright claimed the video of the World First Dragonsong Ultimate clear. The Dragonsong Ultimate Raid is Final Fantasy XIV’s newest and most challenging raid. Last week it was defeated by Neverland Raid Team, who subsequently posted video of the kill on YouTube. Today (May 9), that video was copyright claimed and removed by Square Enix. The removal was first brought to the wider community’s attention after a post on the Final Fantasy XIV official Twitter....
A new game by the developers of Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm. In the days leading up to their E3 presentation, Square Enix repeatedly teased the reveal of a new game called Outriders. Now, we finally know what their partnership with studio People Can Fly has amounted to. Revealed at Square Enix’s E3 showcase, Outriders is a new IP by developer People Can Fly, who previously worked on games like Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm....

At the bottom of the document, three causes are listed for the death of Stan Lee: A) Cardiac Arrest B) Respiratory Failure C) Congestive Heart Failure In the section stating other causes of death that do not result in the underlying cause, it is stated that Aspiration Pneumonia was a cause in Lee’s death....
A new and interesting, although disappointing, rumor involving Star Wars Battlefront II has recently shown up on Reddit and, even though we can’t confirm the information included, it looks worth reporting it. According to a source, Electronic Arts could be planning on abandoning the development on the title quite soon, as it wouldn’t have an established roadmap for future content and would be only working looking at the players’ demands....
Last year saw the release of indie, Metroidvania-esque action-platformer SteamWorld Dig 2, which is currently available digitally for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Fans of the game, and of physical editions, will be happy to learn that the game is set to release physical copies later this year. A new teaser trailer officially reveals that the Netflix original, Stranger Things will be renewed for another season. The exceptionally short trailer was posted on Instagram by one of the show’s producers and directors, Shawn Levy, with the only caption being an upside-down happy face emoji. The teaser shows the traditional Stranger Things intro with a four behind the title but the whole screen starts glitching, cutting off the ominous Stranger Things music cemented in our minds....
