Sony isn’t too happy about the prospect of Microsoft owning Activision Blizzard and, by extension, Call of Duty. Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for $69 billion back in January, and the acquisition is being reviewed for approval by regulators around the world, with each country handling the process differently. Brazil gave game companies operating in that market, including Sony, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, Riot Games, and Bandai Namco, a questionnaire (spotted and translated by ResetEra) asking them to give their thoughts about the acquisition that sent shockwaves throughout the industry....

The release of Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro is right around the corner, and in the time following the console’s announcement we have gradually been getting details regarding games that would be enhanced by it. However, the company has now released the full list of games that will be enhanced when played on the console at launch, which contains over 30 games. Nintendo has just announced that Star Fox Zero will no longer be released in 2015. The game will not be out in early 2016 sometime. Nintendo announced on Facebook: “A Message from Mr. Miyamoto Regarding Star Fox Zero I made a big decision last week. We have been developing Star Fox Zero for Wii U with the aim of releasing it this year. Although we felt that the development had been progressing well, we now believe that we will need a little more time to work on areas such as the unprecedented discovery that we want players to experience in the game by using two screens, and further polishing the level designs and perfecting the tone of the cut scenes....

Right before Disney Expo 23 begins on August 14th, 2015, Entertainment Weekly has come out with an exclusive issue covering Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The issue features brand new images and details on the secretive Sith Kylo Ren, including some tidbits about his lightsaber and background from director J.J. Abrams. Abrams in the interview began to speak about the design of Kylo Ren’s mask and his lightsaber, “The movie explains the origins of the mask and where it’s from, but the design was meant to be a nod to the Vader mask....

The official list of playable characters in Street Fighter 6 might not be too deep right now, but the likes of Luke, Ryu, Chun-Li, and others are getting some extra flair for the new game. As it turns out, winning a perfect round — defeating your opponent while taking no damage yourself — will trigger a unique animation. Capcom brand manager Matthew Edwards shared what this looks like on Twitter. The video attached to Edwards’ tweet shows Luke celebrating with a quick dance and a big smile....

Later this month, Bioware will release the biggest piece of Mass Effect 3 single player DLC that the game has seen since launch. The premium DLC will cost $15, and extend the single player campaign by around 4 hours. In the Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC, Commander Shepard will be paired with mobster Aria T’loak and Turian mercenary leader Nyreen Kandros. Shepard will not have the back-up of either his ship or squadmates, and will roll with these two new characters in the DLC adventure, which has you exploring Omega and other regions....

While Hi-Rez’s popular third-person MOBA has expanded its roster with myths and legends outside the usual pantheons of eld in the past (and even added Bob Ross with a character skin), Cthulhu will be the first of the, well, Cthulhu Mythos to make an appearance in the game....

Snapchat seems to have gained popularity in India as the company has launched its camera-laden spectacles in the country. Almost a year after the official unveiling, the Snap Spectacles 3 have made their India debut today. It is not only the Spectacles 3 though. The company has also brought the previous-gen Spectacles 2 to India. They were originally launched back in April 2018, more than two years ago. Spider-Man is releasing on PlayStation 4 this September, with a demo available at E3 2018, but there’s still a lot of stuff we don’t know anything about, for example, how big are its map and world. GSC Game World, the Ukrainian developer behind Stalker 2, shared a message on Twitter Friday morning addressing the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. Star Wars Battlefront II has had a rough ride since launch. Unlike the previous Battlefront installment, Battlefront II hasn’t followed a set pattern of DLC updates. For better or for worse, it’s up to you to decide. It’s only in the last few months we’ve been given a somewhat scarce roadmap, with few details regarding the few updates.
