Super Mario 3D World levels have some extra surprises. Super Mario Maker 2 introduces a ton of new mechanics to the standard platforming formula. It feels like every new level in the single player Story Mode has something fresh to throw at you. One of the earliest you encounter are grey blocks that block off lots of things in each of the Super Mario 3D World levels. These things are key to some of the highest coin rewards, but to break them you need to get pretty far into the game....

Super Mario Run is set to be a pretty big release when it launches later this year on iOS, and enthusiasm for the game from iOS users has only further cemented that claim. This enthusiasm is conveyed through the incredible amount of signups from iOS users since the game was announced, which was recently revealed to BuzzFeed Japan. Apple’s Tim Cook has revealed that over 20 million iOS users have already signed up to receive notifications for when the game launches, which is currently set to happen this December....

With Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS out in Japan Nintendo is beginning to ramp up their advertising in North America ahead of the October 3rd launch. Today saw a big push with the release of three new videos which seem to center around the idea of people using Super Smash Bros. to settle their disputes, using the catchphrase “Settle it in Smash!” It’s an interesting idea, and definitely one that has a feeling of familiarity with my own experiences....

Publisher Square Enix recently announced “The Forge,” the first of seven DLC packs coming to Shadow of the Tomb Raider....

Sin City is heading to the small screen, according to Deadline. News broke earlier today that Legendary Television (Lost in Space, The Expanse) signed a deal with the comic’s creator, Frank Miller. The terms of the deal are that Legendary will guarantee a single season. That is, as long as they can set it up with a network or streaming platform. The deal will also see the production of a “hard R” animated prequel series based on the original graphic novels....

It’s been a long time since we’ve been treated to a new Skateboarding game. Skate 3 was released back in 2010 whereas Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 came out in 2015, but that doesn’t really count as the game was just a terrible, terrible way for Activision to squeeze one last game out of their license. Thankfully, fans of the board won’t have too long to wait as it has today been announced that Skater XL will make its way to the will on July 7th....

While there are a number of legendary role-playing games out there that deserve another chance in the spotlight, Skies of Arcadia is one that definitely springs to mind. The game initially released for the Sega Dreamcast, introducing a number of great characters and a sweeping storyline involving Vyse and his fellow air pirates as they attempt to find mythical Moon Crystals. Twenty years after its initial release, one of its developers, Kenji Hiruta, who worked as a programmer on the game for Overworks, spoke up about wanting a sequel, asking fans to help him in spreading the word about it....

Publisher Bethesda is lining things up for a pretty big year in 2011. With a diverse lineup of games this could be one of the biggest years in the companies history with multiple high profile titles due in the second half of 2011 which includes Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Rage, id’s first game in a decade and a half, Brink the parkour style shooter that is look great thus far, Demon’s Forge a game I know nothing about, and the Crown Jewel Elder Scrolls V Skyrim are all launching in 2011....

DLC and more added Update 1.26 has arrived for SnowRunner, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. Some new DLC has dropped for SnowRunner which means a fresh update is now available for the game. The DLC includes two new maps as well as two new trucks into the game. Aside from some new content, tons of bug fixes have also been implemented. Some mods have also been adjusted for those that are playing the game on PC....

A new job ad by Sony seems to aim to bring PS3 and PS Vita emulation to the next-gen console. Revealing that the company wants to hire a “classical engineer,” PlayStation Studios may want to work on consoles that it has been ignoring until now. Also, rumors claim that old PS3 peripherals may work on the new console, the PS5. It looks like Sony might be following fellow publisher Microsoft by allowing their games on other platforms. A page for the upcoming Ready Set Heroes popped up on the Epic Games Store, signaling Sony might be testing their games on other platforms other than PlayStation. Ready Set Heroes is a fast-paced multiplayer arena brawler where you play as different heroes. The game features co-op and competitive gameplay for you and your friends to battle and prove who is the best....

Absent for more than half a decade, SoulCalibur 6 seeks to leave its mark on history once more, retelling the tale of souls and swords that propelled it into the limelight back in the ’90s. The Soul series has always been unique amongst its contemporaries within the fighting game genre, distancing itself from the typical hand-to-hand combat found in most other titles and replacing it with a weapon-based one inspired by Battle Arena Toshinden (1995)....

Earlier today, AMC Theaters revealed the exact time and date Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets will go on sale. Leading up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel, and Sony have released a series of TV spots for the film. Each of these spots features new small pieces of footage. This new set of footage shows Spider-Man and Doc Ock’s fight from the trailer, while also showing a closer look at Jaimi Foxx’s Electro....

Marvel’s Avengers is already an enormous game, and with every update, it’s only getting bigger. The game’s upcoming expansion, War For Wakanda, will add a suite of new content and Black Panther as a playable character. However, the game is still missing some notable characters from Marvel’s roster of characters, and while it’s not clear when some of the comic franchise’s other characters will be added to the game, Spider-Man finally has a set release window....

Splatoon 3 is the third installment in the popular squid-based shooter from Nintendo. Like its predecessors, Splatoon 3 will receive paid DLC and free updates introducing new stages, weapons, and more post-launch. The Splatoon 3 Direct confirmed this information on the Nintendo YouTube channel. You can see a part of this announcement at the 4-minute and 20-second mark after many of the stages were showcased.
