Splinter Cell VR will have multiplayer functionality, according to a recent Ubisoft job listing. In a job posting on the Ubisoft careers website, a multiplayer component was pretty much confirmed as part of the advert’s description. The role in question is for a Senior Lead Game Designer, and the newly hired employee will be required to work on a multiplayer game mode. “Reporting to the Senior producer in Düsseldorf, as the Project Owner for multiplayer, you define and implement the multiplayer vision shared by the Creative Director and the Game Director,” the listing reads....

EVO 2022 was a return to form for the fighting game tournament. It was the first in-person competition since the covid pandemic, it was where Kimberly and Juri were revealed in Street Fighter 6, and it was the first time in 16 years that SNK vs. Capcom was mentioned in an official capacity. That got the fighting game fans talking. Collaborative SNK vs. Capcom posters were featured at EVO, but that wasn’t an announcement of a new game in the series....

Still no new Splinter Cell in sight. Fans of Splinter Cell and Sam Fisher have long awaited a new entry from the dormant franchise, so today they’ll have to make peace with yet another Sam Fisher cameo in a different Ubisoft game. The next adventure coming to the much beleaguered Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will feature the stealthy operative, though in what capacity we do not quite know. Ubisoft teased Sam’s return with a short teaser trailer for the Deep State DLC released on YouTube earlier today that ended with the signature NVG goggles whine and illumination....

Deep Silver has revealed details on their first DLC for Shenmue III as well as new playable characters. Shenmue III is a sequel to the cult classic, Shenmue II, a game that was released 18 years ago. It is an open-world brawler littered with quick-time events and side activities. The plot concerns Ryo Hazuki searching for his father’s killer, and he experiences some hiccups along the way, of course. For the first time in history, though, a Shenmue game will be receiving DLC....

Skullcandy has launched its latest TWS earbuds – Skullcandy Spoke in India. It has a minimalistic design with a black finish and offers an official IPX4 water resistance rating. Skullcandy Spoke comes with 8mm drivers and offers an impedance of 32 Ohms. In terms of connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.0. It is worth noting that you can use one of the earbuds in mono mode, in case you are sharing one with your friend or lose one in the subway....

The downswing in smartphone industry had already started before lockdowns in countries like India and with retail stores now shut, online channels selling essential items like groceries and consumers in no mood for device replacement, the slowdown will be deep and last longer than in China, a new report said on Friday. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is finally here. The game was the centerpiece of Nintendo’s E3 press conference, and the game was shown off in all its glory and given a release date of Dec. 7. The game brings back every character from every Smash Bros. game into one package and will see them duke it out. The game looks to be the best in the series yet, bringing back classic fan-favorite characters like the Ice Climbers, Solid Snake, and Pichu with new characters like the Inklings, Daisy, and Ridley into the biggest Nintendo mashup of all time....

Atlus’ PS2 classic title Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster is now confirmed coming to PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 25. All versions will cost $49.99, which is definitely a steep asking price considering it is a remaster of an 18 years old game, and Persona 4 Golden was sold at $19.99. Still, if you’re interested in getting it on day one, Atlus is offering a Digital Deluxe Edition for SMT III: Nocturne HD Remaster as well, priced at $69....

The Sniper Elite series has always been focused on stealth, presenting players with wide open spaces they must move across pocketed with lethal enemies that can call in reinforcements in a matter of seconds. You need to be careful, but there’s room for some deviation from the sniper rifles that give it its name. We recently had the opportunity to play Sniper Elite 5 for a couple of hours, and we’re happy to relay that the core of what makes the games fun is still there, but the fifth outing somehow manages to bring new life into a tried and tested formula....
