Indie robot-survival simulator Sir, You Are Being Hunted by developers Big Robot has been made available as an early access beta on Steam and the Humble Store now. Sir, You Are Being Hunted takes place when a scientific experiment goes incredibly wrong. The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list grows by six games today with Microsoft unleashing a new set of Xbox 360 games to be played on the Xbox One. Undertow, Super Contra, Slender: the Arrival, Saints Row: The third, and Monopoly Deal are all now supported on the popular service, with a sixth game being available exclusively in Japan. It seems these pirates will never be able to fight. Skull & Bones, the pirate game developed by Ubisoft, has been delayed once again. While it aroused great excitement when it was announced as a rival to Sea of Thieves at E3 all those years ago, it continues to hit the news with only more delays. Skull & Bones revolves around piracy and naval warfare, developed by Ubisoft Singapore it looked somewhat similar to what we were seeing in the Assassin’s Creed games at the time… just a game built completely around that singular aspect....

Apple announced iPadOS last month at WWDC 2019, and one of the major improvements Apple has made in the operating system is the slide over mechanism which makes multitasking on the iPad feel even more intuitive than before. Sonic Frontiers has a new unofficial release date. The upcoming Sonic Frontiers has gotten a release date, although an unofficial one. Sonic Frontiers was among the many new announcements during this year’s The Game Awards show. The new announcement was accompanied by a trailer giving us a glimpse at Sega’s vision for an “open-zone realm” Sonic Frontiers game. The game arrived with a “holiday 2022” release date, though thanks to this latest leak, we might have an exact or at least approximate release date or window....

Sony Computer Entertainment CEO, Andrew House, has admitted the PS4 first party lineup in 2015 is “sparse”. As reported by DualShockers, House was speaking during the Electronics Investor Relations Day. He mentioned Sony is working hard to support third party publishers and developers. He mentioned this is important because he said the first party lineup for the PS4 this year is “a little sparse“. House could be referring to the unexpected delays of both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Ratchet and Clank PS4....

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have had their second child, as confirmed to People by representatives of the two stars. Their second is confirmed to be a girl. “Joe and Sophie are happy to announce the arrival of their baby girl,” representatives said. In May 2019, long before the life of having a child, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got married in Las Vegas. They had another, more formal ceremony in France....

South Park: The Stick of Truth was slated to arrive in December of this year, but has been pushed into March 2014. The RPG from South Park Studios and Obsidian has been oft-delayed, transferred between publishers, and yet still managed to garner interest from the gaming community for its interesting take on role playing in the South Park universe. “Within three weeks after acquiring the game, we sadly realized we had to turn this thing upside down if we hoped to deliver the experience everybody wanted,” says Ubisoft North America’s president Laurent Detoc....

One of the few complete surprises at this year’s E3 was the announcement of a Nintendo developed third-person shooter called Splatoon. In the game you play as an Inkling, a girl who can transform into a squid and swim through ink. Using various weapons and tools you paint the floor of the map in your team’s color while trying to keep the other team from doing the same. This one-on-one multiplayer mode is still be fully fleshed out, but it seems like it could take a very different path than the online versus mode we have seen so far....

Star Wars is getting a re-release of classic Legends books for its 50th anniversary. It’s the “Essential Legends Collection” and it will feature several rehashes. So Star Wars Bookworms, rejoice! Star Wars: Legends Books Heir to the Empire, Darth Bane: Path of Destruction and Shatterpoint will be the first to show up with the all-new redesigned covers. Space engineers, mechanics, and scientists will need to take a breather from Stationeers for a quick update. The science fiction base-building simulator has launched a set of bug fixes that players can download now. Developer RocketWerkz (the team behind Icarus) took time to work on several aspects of the game that adhere to the new update. In order to provide an improved experience while in early access, RocketWerkz worked on the trader contact list, Stationpedia, errors with the Atmospheric Network, and issues concerning load times....

Streets of Rage 4, the upcoming revival of the classic Sega Genesis beat ‘em up series, had a new playable character reveal at Gamescom 2019. Cherry Hunter is the daughter of Adam Hunter, a playable character from the original game. Cherry fights with an electric guitar and a set of impressive moves she learned from her old man and a returning playable character, Axel Stone. The character trailer shows Cherry in action, putting her brawling skills to the test against waves of baddies....

Japanese animation studio Studio Pierrot has released a new PV on its YouTube channel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the anime adaptation of the hit anime-manga franchise, Naruto. The anime’s first episode was released on October 3, 2002, and the new PV trailer – titled Road of Naruto, reanimates several scenes from across the over 500-episode series, with music from its various openings as well. Finding a new home for the Dear Esther studio. Sumo Group, the parent company behind Sumo Digital (the guys developing Crackdown 3 and Team Sonic Racing) have acquired The Chinese Room, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. In a tweet earlier today, Sumo Digital said it’s excited to welcome its fifth studio, adding to its UK-based studios of Sheffield, Nottingham, Newcastle and its India-based Pune studio....

Players can now share twice as many levels with the community. When Super Mario Maker 2 launched last month, there was a cap on how many levels a user could upload to the game’s network. Now, that cap has been doubled. Nintendo recently announced that the cap of 32 levels per user has now been increased so that each player can upload a total of 64 levels, doubling the amount of user-created levels each player can share with the community....
