The follow-up to the Wii classic. The Super Mario series is known for having classic games released across each generation of consoles, including a mix of 2D and 3D Mario titles. The 2D Mario games have been re-released tons of times over the years, but the 3D titles have definitely not gotten the re-release treatment anywhere near as much outside of the VC release for Super Mario 64. This has finally changed with the release of Super Mario 3D All-Stars that just released for the Nintendo Switch with three iconic Mario titles, but it has left us wondering where another fan favorite is for this game....

Roughly halfway through Season 3 of Sea of Thieves, developer Rare is celebrating the game’s playerbase growth from the A Pirate’s Life expansion, while also pushing out update 2.2.1. This patch adds quality of life improvements, with a few changes in particular addressing a much-complained issue of enemy respawn rates. With the introduction of three new mob enemy types, players were overrun with enemies during island encounters — luckily, this will no longer be the case....

As the name might imply, these games all center around some form of mystery that needs to be solved. Sega and RGG Studio have announced Like A Dragon: Ishin!, a remake of Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! which will be coming to western audiences for the first time in 2023. Previously released only in Japan on Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 in 2014, this looks to be a complete remake using RGG Studio’s new Dragon Engine. Yakuza series producer Daisuke Saito mentioned back in 2021 that he would love to bring Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!...

Slime Rancher recently released on Xbox One as a free Games with Gold title and fans have constantly expressed how much fun they are having with it. Players take control of Beatrix LeBeau who wrangles up various slimes on Far, Far Range. It seems like a wacky idea, and as it turns out, the game was inspired by a glitch in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Nick Popovich, Co-founder and CEO of Slime Rancher developer Monomi Park, participated in an AMA on the Xbox One subreddit where he revealed this interesting tidbit of information....

A normal rat looks like this, apparently. Sniper Elite 5 has been out for a week, and players are enjoying the sandboxes inspired by WWII-era occupied France. There’s plenty to explore and enjoy about the game, not the least of which being the kill missions. Each mission typically has a target you can take down, often with a creative hook, in order to gain additional points and perks, but they can also tend to be genuinely entertaining like in the Hitman series....

2017 will be a good year for fans of Sonic, with the blue hedgehog starring in two very different games that will cover all the things that the audience loves about the series. One is the modern platformer Sonic Forces, and the other is a 2D title with a 16-bit appearance called Sonic Mania that seems to recreate the best mechanics of the classic Mega Drive entries. But the retro look should not give the impression that this is a minor release....

Sony has revealed a new PlayStation Stars loyalty program with “digital collectibles” as prizes. PlayStation Stars will be a free service and will offer PlayStation users some tasks to collect loyalty points and rewards. One reward players may be received from points is a PSN wallet fund that can be used to purchase games.
