The update adds over 100 different items, a new rank feature, and the return of one of Splatoon’s most iconic characters alongside a host of performance and bug fixes. This new content includes the introduction of the new X Rank, a challenging Ranked Battle experience that will only be available for the top players. In the current ranking system, those who are S+10 rank will be re-registered as X Rank moving forward....

The Monster Within event in Apex Legends kicked off without any sort of game patch on October 12. This should have made for a pretty steady release; however, multiple glitches have already shown up. Sonic Mania released last year to critical acclaim, and Sega is bringing the game back with some brand new features. Sonic Mania Plus was announced during SXSW in Austin, Texas last weekend, introducing a New Game+ feature and two additional playable characters. Sonic Mania Plus expands on the original game with “Encore Mode,” which lets players experience the singleplayer campaign all over again with some visual changes and different ways to play through levels, according to a Polygon report....

PlayStation 5 is Even More Profitable Now Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki has confirmed last Wednesday during an earning’s briefing that the PS5 Disc consoles are no longer selling at a loss, meaning that the manufacturing costs are now met by the $500 retail price. Although Sony is no longer selling PS5 units, that only goes for the disc version, the digital-only version however still costs more to produce than the $400 price point it’s currently at....

Both Spelunky 1 and 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch in Australia on August 26, according to a new listing from website Vooks.net. The UK eShop features a similar listing, with Spelunky priced at £8.99 and Spelunky 2 at £17.99. While the games were already known to be coming for Switch in the summer, this is the first time there’s been an official release date confirmation.
