Just one year after the release of the original Stranger Things experience, Starcourt Mall, another new addition is set to make its debut on the platform. Though season five of the popular sci-fi series isn’t set to come out until 2024, and season four wrapped up earlier this year in July, Netflix is seemingly hoping to fill the empty space between these releases with a new-and-improved, and currently top-secret, experience. At the time of this article’s publication, little information is known about this experience, but it’s expected to debut before the end of the 2022....

Sega has revealed the release schedule of the free DLC packages that will complement Valkyria Revolution in the weeks after its launch next week. The new content adds more story chapters and items to the main game, and since they are free, they will be a good way to keep the userbase active some time after the game’s launch. Players will receive each free pack every week for a month starting next week....

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. It feels like a lifetime ago that the speedy blue Hedgehog first zoomed into our lives, and Sega want to make a big deal about it. The company has announced that there will be a different Sonic the Hedgehod-related announcement on the 20th of each month this year. A website to track the celebrations has been set up, although, at the moment, we don’t know if there will be a dedicated English-language version....

In the Serious Side Effects gig, you will need to make your way to the Dewdrop Inn to recover some Beta Acid that was stolen from the fixer’s client. This is easy to do, as you just follow the waypoint to the motel. When you get you will have two missions. The main mission is to recover the Beta Acid, while there is also an optional mission to find a man called Booker Updike....

Shadow of War players will be happy to know that from today they can enjoy the first story expansion of the game, which shifts the protagonist role from Talion to the elf Eltariel. She has been sent on a crucial mission by the dame Galadriel, and this DLC shines a light over those events. As you play through the Peril on Gorgon DLC you will discover that you need to find a character called Clarence Mostly. Mostly is a former scientist who used to work at the Spacer’s Choice facility on Gorgon, and you’ll need his help to lift the lockdown at the science facility on Gorgon. When you meet him, he is at a canid fighting tournament, and he will agree to help you if you steal the tournament trophy for him....

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is coming to Steam Early Access in the fall. The announcement from Tactical Adventures was revealed alongside a trailer during Gamescom 2020. Along with the reveal announcement, there is also another free playable demo for the tactical RPG on Steam. It runs through August 30 but, like the previous demo, you should still be able to play it as long as you don’t uninstall it from your system....

It’s been already a few weeks since Sonic Frontiers was released. It is a very ambitious game that manages to shine in some areas but falls flat in others, as we said in our review. However, that isn’t a reason to stop playing it. The game is quite fun, and it has one of the best soundtracks we’ve heard in a while. But with a number of nice things, there’s also a plethora of glitches and bugs that are still affecting the game....

It seems that this year will be a big one for the PlayStation VR, as Sony has revealed that it expects the amount of titles on the platform to nearly double by the end of 2018. This estimate was made in the midst of an interview with Japanese newspaper Nikkei, with Sony saying that the jump from 150 to 280 titles — representing an 80 percent increase — is possible due to the strong sales the PlayStation VR had in 2017 (surpassing 2 million in total), thus allowing game companies to have an easier time developing PS VR titles....

The handheld gaming market is not in a good place, as smartphones have pretty much completely taken over the mobile gaming scene. While the 3DS has enjoyed a decent amount of success in spite of this, the PlayStation Vita’s abysmal sales are a huge warning sign for the market as a whole. Thus, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Sony is planning on increasing their focus on smartphone gaming going forward....

Even though Microsoft is implementing backwards compatibility to the Xbox One next month, Sony still has no plans to do the same with the PS4. A French fan asked the PlayStation France Twitter page if PS3 games will be backwards compatible on the PS4. PlayStation France was doing a Q&A with Shuhei Yoshida. SCE Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida, answered with a simple “non”. This is French for “no”. He did not elaborate more on the answer....

As part of its coverage, Game Informer asked Spider-Man’s creative director more than 100 questions, among which there was even the time to talk about a possible crossover with Kingdom Hearts and Marvel’s properties. Surprisingly, Insomniac Games’ Bryan Intihar said he’d love to see such thing happen, as he is a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts and other intellectual properties from Disney (such as Pixar) have already been announced as part of the latest game in the RPG series....

During a recent call with investors and analysts, Electronic Arts’ Andrew House has stated that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is “a first title in an entirely new franchise.” EA’s CEO has confirmed that this is just the first entry in a series coming from Respawn Entertainment and that players should expect to see more from the franchise in the future. The game has just reached a new milestone with 10 million players spread across PC, where it’s also available as part of the Origin Access Premier subscription, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One....

We all know that Starcraft II allows for extensive modding with the tools provided by the game. This leads to plenty of freedom when creating mods, and Youtuber SkriK takes this creativity to a new level. SkriK recreated Final Fantasy’s battle system and us now running it on the upcoming sequel. The brief clip shows a very detailed recreation of Square Enix’s system and from what we can tell most if not all of the features are incorporated if not fully functional....

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty has recently seen a patch deployed that brings a broad suite of changes to the real time strategy title.
