Wargaming is hard at work on the next content update for World of Warships and has submarines and Halloween-themed additions planned for later this month. In a perhaps more unexpected move, players will also be able to hire Washington Capitals winger and Stanley Cup champion Alexander “Ovi” Ovechkin as their captain. Not only will Ovi appear as four different commanders, one that can serve with the US fleet, one for Soviet vessels and two unique ones, but he will also voice them personally....

The Steam Winter Sale was apparently a massive success this year, as Valve announced to their internal community a number of stats that seem to indicate growing sales despite the massive changes introduced in this and the previous Autumn Sale. Those changes included the removal of Daily, Community, and Lightning Deals, focusing instead on presenting discounts that remained the same throughout the sales window. Many in the PC gamer community felt these changes would have a negative impact on the event, but Valve seems to indicate otherwise....

With surprisingly little press or circumstance surrounding it, a third entry in the Steven Universe turn-based RPG series has been released as an exclusive for Apple Arcade, and it’s titled Steven Universe: Unleash the Light. The game was developed by Grumpyface Studios just like the first two installments and was published by Cartoon Network Games. Steven Universe as a series has officially come to an end, but the upcoming short epilogue series Steven Universe Future is still looming in the distance for fans to enjoy, so there was still a bit more time to squeeze in another game based on the show’s canon....

Neil Druckmann, Creative Director for Naughty Dog, has revealed that a story outline for The Last of Us Part 3 has already been written. Druckmann discussed the existence of a story in a recent episode of the Script Alert podcast, transcribed by IGN. Druckmann was hesitant to go into too much detail about this script. He explained that co-writer Halley Gross had put a lot of work into it, but he was sure to mention that the third game in the series isn’t even being worked on right now....

Capcom revealed a new trailer and more information on its upcoming Street Fighter 6. These details were shown during Sony’s State of Play Presentation on Thursday. The trailer has both an English and Japanese version and reveals the game’s 2023 release date. Lastly, the game features new characters, mechanics, and game modes. The game’s returning cast includes Ryu, Chun-li, and Luke, the final playable DLC from Street Fighter V. One of the newest characters in the franchise includes Jamie, a breakdancing kickboxer, and Kimberly....

With the release of Super Smash Bros. a little over a month away for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, we’ve been getting a good streak of reveals lately, mostly involving stages on the Nintendo 3DS version. The latest involves a stage actually from not the most recent Pokemon games, but the generation before with Black and White. This stage in particular, which can be seen to the right is based on what appears to be N’s castle, featuring a few different Pokemon throughout the stage....

Today marks the release of developer CI Games’ Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, which is the series’ first attempt at an open world setting.
