A press release from MangaGamer announced that they will release a new Higurashi: When They Cry sound novel game. The official title for the game is Higurashi: When They Cry Hou-Rei. 07th Expansion originally released the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei. The sound novel contains three arcs: “Saikoroshi-hen,” “Hirukowashi-hen,” and “Batsukoishi-hen.” MangaGamer describes the story as: The five-episode When They Cry -Rei ova adapted both “Saikoroshi-hen” and “Hirukowashi-hen.” This was released in 2009....

Six months after releasing Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, Ukrainian developer Frogwares announced its next title. Currently codenamed Palianytsia, this smaller-scale horror title has been pushed forward in light of the current war between Russia and Ukraine. According to Frogwares, Palianytsia is much more streamlined than the open-world titles the studio is known for, such as Sherlock Holmes and The Sinking City. Ubisoft has announced that Showdown has returned to Rainbow Six Siege for a limited time. The event pits teams of three against one another in a custom map, allowing them to earn event-exclusive items to equip their Operators with in the main game long after it’s over. Showdown will be live and available to play in Rainbow Six Siege between September 21 to 28. The Sony PS4 continues to be a big worldwide seller as the console has now shipped over 43.5 million units worldwide since its launch back in November 2013. From April 1st, 2016 until June 30th, 2016, the company shipped 3.5 million PS4 units. This is up 0.5 million units compared to the same quarter back in 2015. One of the most anticipated games of the year is the Spider-Man PlayStation 4 game that is being developed by Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac Games. The game now has the official title of Marvel’s Spider-Man, as well as finally receiving a release date. Square Enix has revealed that it’s working on a remastered version of the classic RPG Romancing SaGa 3. The new game will be released on PlayStation Vita and smartphones in Japan, while no details have been given about a Western release. For now the only new features announced from this version would be a full graphic upgrade, including characters, backgrounds, and menus. Romancing SaGa 3 was originally released in Japan for Super Nintendo in 1995, and it was never brought to Western markets....
