After months of rumors, it’s finally confirmed: Ubisoft has halted the development on the Nintendo Switch version of Steep, the snowboarding/skiing/extreme sports simulation. The news doesn’t come unexpected, but Ubisoft wanted it to be as quiet as possible in order not to further waste the potential of the game and disappoint its userbase. “We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform,” said the official Twitter account....

Mad Catz has announced that it will be releasing Street Fighter V fightsticks and controllers in the future. The announcement was made on the official Mad Catz blog. The team is partnering up with Capcom to launch “a new range of FightPads, FightSticks and Tournament Edition FightSticks“. All of these products will be released just in time for Street Fighter V. The game was recently announced to have a Spring 2016 release window....

The Nintendo EAD Tokyo Development team responsible for the Super Mario Galaxy games on the Wii and Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS, are working on a new 3D Mario title for the Wii U. The announcement was made at today’s Nintendo Direct conference, where Satoru Iwata explained that he had nothing to show fans at the moment, but expects the new game to be playable at this year’s E3....

It’s with a heavy heart that we have to bring you news of the passing of Sir Sean Connery, the legendary actor, and James Bond star. As reported by the BBC, the legendary actor passed away in his sleep overnight in the Bahamas. He had apparently been unwell for some time. No cause of death has been announced, but he is said to have peacefully passed in his sleep, with many of his family members around him....

Hyrule Warriors‘ release date is fast approaching with us knowing very little about the multiple playable characters featured in the game. Two Sherlock Holmes film-TV universe spin-offs have been announced for HBO Max by Warner Media. Based on the films starring Robert Downey Jr., the spin-offs will be featured in a similar vein to TV series offshoots of Suicide Squad and The Batman on HBO Max and will be executive produced by both Downey Jr. and Susan Downey. Each will supposedly be focused on characters completely new to the universe established in the films....

The SNES Nintendo Switch controller is now available for purchase in the UK. The new controller is exclusively available to Nintendo Switch Online members and is designed to be used with the Super NES games that are available as part of the service. The SNES Nintendo Switch controller includes a USB cable that can be used to charge the device, and orders are limited to four controllers per Nintendo account....

Sonic the Hedgehog has narrowly beaten Detective Pikachu to achieve the best three day gross of any video game movie. After launching on Feb. 14 on over 4000 screens in the U.S., the film managed to bring in $58,018,348 domestically, breaking Detective Pikachu’s record of $54.3 million. So far, the film has made just under $210 million across the world, as Sonic continues to speed past the competition. It’s not all good news for the iconic character; however, as Paramount Pictures recently announced that it would be delaying the release of the movie in China due to the coronavirus outbreak....

Despite being popular franchises, it looks like Sony has no plans to bring SOCOM or Crash Bandicoot over to the PS4 system. When asked on Twitter if we will see Crash Bandicoot on PS4, Yoshida gave some bad news on the topic. Yoshida responded with “not in the near future” on if we’ll see the Bandicoot on PS4 soon. The SOCOM series is another franchise that has been on the backburner for several years....
