After selling close to a million copies just in Japan, causing near sell outs nationwide, it looks like Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is on its way to becoming a worldwide best-seller. Nintendo announced today that, due to strong launches in the Americas, Europe, and Australia the game has sold more than 2.8 million copies in all territories. Releasing mere months after Final Fantasy VII, Square’s (now Square Enix) SaGa Frontier had some tough boots to fill, and whilst it didn’t make the same impact in the west SaGa Frontier was still a pretty great RPG. Thankfully, for those that may have missed out at the time, the title is getting a remaster. The remaster will launch in the summer of 2021 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, IOS, Android, and PC via Steam....

Samsung on Thursday announced the expansion of its lifestyle Home Entertainment portfolio with the addition of what the company is calling its ‘First Outdoor 4K QLED TV’. The latest firmware update to hit the PlayStation 3 has yet again removed functionality from the console. This time, PSP owners get the short end of the stick, with the new firmware disabling connectivity that the handheld previously had with the PS3. As Shack News reports, prior to the latest firmware update, PS3 owners could connect a PSP to a PS3 system and transfer game data between platforms. Copying games to both devices would allow for a playability on both consoles, but with the new update this is no longer the case....

As Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has finished its theater run and will release on DVD and Blu-Ray at the end of March, more behind-the-scenes details are arriving. One is a preview of The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which features concept art from the movie. And from this book are details of a creature called the Oracle. This 14-ton puppet would have been larger than Jabba the Hutt....

Developer IO Interactive has announced that Landslide is free in Hitman 3 from April 15 until April 25. Those who own the game, or Hitman 3 – Free Starter Pack, can access the mission at no extra cost. Any trophies, achievements, XP, or unlocks that players earn in the mission while it’s free are theirs to keep permanently. If they purchase the mission, they can pick up their progress from the point they left off....

Super Mario Maker 2 will not have costumes, according to a recent video from GameXplain. In the original Super Mario Maker, one of the graphical styles allowed you to use costumes to replace Mario with another character effectively. This then allowed people to create custom levels, suited specifically to that character. It was all strictly aesthetic, but that is exactly the type of thing people loved about the first game....

Return to Steelport in this visually impressive remaster. This morning Deep Silver announced Saints Row: The Third Remastered is coming to current-gen consoles and PC May 22nd, offering up a vast refresh of the original game.
