Square Enix is one of the biggest industry players in Japan. When it makes an announcement, it’s definitely worth paying attention to. Next month, the publisher will take the Tokyo Game Show stage to give fans a look at what’s next on the release docket. Square Enix confirmed today that the worldwide reveal of their upcoming Marvel’s Avengers game will happen during their E2 2019 showcase. The event will begin on June 10 at 6 pm PT. According to a job listing, Bethesda Game Studios might be about to start its voice work on Starfield, its first brand new intellectual property in over twenty years. The job listing does not mention Starfield directly, but it says that the studio is indeed working on a “bleeding-edge of RPG development for the PC and consoles.” It looks like that description fits rather good both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI, although we’ve been said in the past that Starfield is coming earlier and so would look an even better fit for the listing....

It seems more and more likely that if there is a horror movie, Samara Weaving will be in it as she has been cast in Azrael, as reported by Deadline. The action-horror film will be directed by Evan Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor), with You’re Next writer Simon Barrett penning the script. The producers are planning for this to be the start of a franchise. Jason Cloth and Dave Caplan will produce and finance the film with Cloth as an executive producer with Katrin Kissa....

Gamescom 2018 has just wrapped up and we have the best title of the event named – it’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The latest game from the makers of Dark Souls has been amazing throughout the showcase. This may be controversial, but for my money, the Nintendo Switch’s best game is Golf Story from Sidebar Games. The 2017 arcade golf game does something that Nintendo itself continually refuses to do with its Mario Golf series: merge simple golf mechanics with an in-depth, charming RPG. Considering that’s what made the Mario Golf series so popular back in the Game Boy days, it’s baffling that someone had to come along and replicate that magic when it seems so simple for a company the size of Nintendo to do....
