Sony, Major League Baseball, and the MLBPA have announced a multi-year extension to their current deal. With it, Sony Santa Monica will continue to develop its award-winning series for years to come. Just days from its release, Steven Spielberg’s incredible West Side Story has been banned from theaters in several countries in the Gulf region. According to reports, Disney refused to remove the transgender character “Anybodys”. Regional censors objected and have now blocked the film’s release on December 9. As of this writing, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Omar, Kuwait, and Bahrain will not be showing the film. Should We Care if Spielberg’s “West Side Story” is Banned in Other Countries?...

The official Splatoon 2 Tumblr account has revealed details on Splatoon 2’s upcoming 3.0 patch. It also explained how the new X Rank will work when it launches sometime in April. X Rank is a challenging Ranked Battle experience that will only be available for the top players. In the current ranking system, those who are S+10 rank will be re-registered as X Rank moving forward. When a player reaches X Rank, they will start battling for X Power instead of Rank Meter....

Star Wars is one property that will never truly be gone, but following the release of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith in 2005, it was looking like the movie part of the franchise was done. Capcom is a company that loves crossovers between its franchises, and its newest one combines Street Fighter V and Monster Hunter: World. In “just a few weeks,” Ryu and Sakura from Street Fighter V will be coming to Monster Hunter: World in the form of armor sets. Teh Internets has been patched for Super Meat Boy. The unlockable level in the platformer which allows Team Meat and other developers to push downloadable content to the Xbox Live Arcade title. Now that the Xbox Live patch has been issued, some of the game’s few glaring faults have been fixed. But more importantly developers can now start adding the downloadable content to the game, and there seems to be a lot on the way....

Ryse: Son of Rome, the upcoming Xbox One launch title, originally had PvP combat before it got scrapped, with producer Mike Read saying to Polygon, “We tried the whole PvP thing but it really wasn’t fun, so we decided to move it over to waves of gladiatorial combat; but there are no lions or tigers.” Instead, the team at Crytek implemented a Gladiator: Blood Brothers co-op mode that pits the player with another player as they survive rounds of enemies and complete objectives in a Colosseum....

Sev Zero puts the player into the boots of a futuristic soldier in the twenty- second century where an alien race called the Ne’ahtu are attempting to infect Earth’s defense grid with a virus. You must defend key grids throughout Earth as computer genius Dr. Amy Ramanujan takes out the virus. The story is pretty straight forward and has enough back story to keep the attentive player interested. It’s nothing revolutionary but the gameplay is where the innovation lies....
