The announcement of Shenmue 3 at E3 2015 has caused a spike in the sales for the Sega Dreamcast console at independent retailers. MCV reached out to some retailers still selling Sega Dreamcast consoles and they told the site there has been a big spike in sales thanks to the E3 announcement. Level Up Games said they sold 20 Sega Dreamcast consoles last week. Not to mention people have been asking the retailer how they can play the first two Shenmue video games....

While we’ve known that Pikmin 4 has been in development for a while, with the game quickly falling off the radar and the series not gaining a lot of traction on the Wii U lead some to question whether or not it will release. However, Shigeru Miyamoto has come out to clear the air on the issue, confirming that Pikmin 4 has not been canned. What’s most interesting about all of this is that it was last year when Miyamoto said that the game was nearing the end of its development....

Super Smash Bros. Insomniac Games’ upcoming title Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 has a release date, and Game Informer is about to share it with the world, the game’s developer confirmed earlier today. The reveal first came about thanks to a morning news post from Game Informer, announcing that the gaming publication “played Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man” in its current form and knows “its release date.” Reporters visited Insomniac for two days and received extensive information from the upcoming game’s developers, including several interviews from the studio....

Square Enix’s plans to have a patch for the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts III that will replace one of the actors. Japanese voice actor Pierre Taki was recently charged with possession of cocaine. In Kingdom Hearts III, Taki was the Japanese voice actor for Olaf, the talking Snowman in the Disney film Frozen. After he was arrested for having cocaine, Square Enix announced they planned to replace his voice in a future patch for the game....

Blizzard released the first Starcraft II commercial which was played last night during the NBA finals. Reverie World Studios has released its fifth daily update on January 16, 2023, for Stars End update 0.72, and we have its complete list of modifications. The company has successfully managed to fix a majority of game-breaking bugs, and with no risk of losing their progress, players can now enjoy the game. Street Fighter V is set to evolve yet again — and this time, with a Street Fighter III legend in tow. Capcom announced this evening that Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is set to arrive on PlayStation 4 and PC on Feb. 14, 2020. It’s priced to sell at $29.99, although the owners of the current Arcade Edition can upgrade for just $24.99. The game will feature an abundant amount of content to justify that price....

As its name suggests, Online Leagues allows you to set custom leagues with up to 32 players via matchmaking. For the more competitive-minded, you can look for specific matches against specific users as well. Unlike Pennant Race though, Leagues’ default settings open all of the settings you can use: all Standard teams are usable, full visual customization, and full Ego (difficulty) settings. Steel City Interactive’s eSports Boxing Club has already received a lot of buzz among sports video game fans, and the new game might get a lot more after the developer’s latest announcement. Steel City has already locked up the rights to several superstar boxers from the past, including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Joe Louis, and Roy Jones Jr. On May 24, the British-based developer unveiled the latest boxer to be added to the game: Canelo Alvarez....
