After years of requests, tweets and comments we finally got an answer from EA that we had been wanting for just over 10 years: That we are indeed going to get Skate 4! The development titans’ last extreme sports game was Skate 3 released back in 2010, which is still going strong in the community but we are definitely glad to be expecting a new installment. There is a current resurgence in skating games, with the likes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 getting a re-master, and indie studios taking their shots at making skateboarding games as well....

A new symbiotic character, Sleeper Agent, is set to debut in Venom #11 when it releases in August. The acclaimed series from Al Ewing, Ram V, and Bryan Hitch continues to explore the symbiotic mythology. Now, it will continue that by introducing the Sleeper symbiote into the fray with a deadly new look. Of course, that look can change…it is a symbiote after all. Who, or What, is the Sleeper Agent?...

Kid Icarus isn’t the most robust series in Nintendo’s catalog. There have only been three games so far: the 1986 original on NES, the 1991 follow-up Of Myths and Monsters on Game Boy, and 2012’s Uprising on 3DS. Fans have been asking for a port of Uprising for some time now, and it seems director Masahiro Sakurai wants one too. In fact, he gave a literal nod toward it in a recent video....

There are 44 achievements to unlock. The Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 trophies have been released for PlayStation, and we’ve got the full list here. After the game’s PlayStation release was delayed due to technical issues, CI Games pledged to deliver the first major DLC for free to all players. This franchise has a lot to make up for after the mediocre-at-best Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, so hopefully this future DLC doesn’t disappoint....

SCEA has just announced that the SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Full Deployment Edition will be available at launch. The limited edition bundle includes the SOCOM 4 game, a PlayStation Move motion controller, a navigation controller, an Eye camera, and the PlayStation Move sharpshooter. “Given the high level of anticipation for SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs, we wanted to provide the most immersive offering to fans of the franchise, who seek to experience the next evolution of motion gaming,” said John Koller, Director, Hardware Marketing, SCEA....

With the Nintendo NX console on the horizon, you would think some developers would know about it already. However, some developers know nothing official about it like everyone else. EGM caught up with many developers to ask them if they know a little bit of information about the Nintendo NX console. The ones that were asked haven’t heard anything from Nintendo. Ready At Dawn’s Ru Weerasuriya said: “The day one plan [for Deformers] is to launch on Xbox [One], PlayStation 4, and PC… What about NX?...

With this new label, Sony is really showing how serious they are with PC gaming A new kind of label has been spotted by PC gamers over on Valve’s Steam platform, as “PlayStation PC” has now officially replaced the “Playstation Mobile” label that was previously used for some of the recent Playstation to PC ports. Sony seems to be going all-in when it comes to their support for the PC platform, as they have been revealing and announcing various Playstation 4 titles that were once exclusive to their platform as PC titles via Valve’s Steam service....

Free-to-play games largely operate on the same business model: you can play for free, but there are tons of options for spending your money on cosmetics and other in-game content. Think Fortnite’s Battle Pass and its many skins. It seems Sony is searching for new ways to monetize free-to-play games, however. Business Insider reports that Sony is looking to run ads in its free-to-play titles. Housing is one of the most coveted resources in Final Fantasy XIV. While just about everyone wants a chance to get a place, many users in the Final Fantasy XIV ecosystem are without a home of their own and don’t have a reasonable way to acquire them. Square Enix aims to fix this in patch 6.1 Square Enix details the newest housing district, Empyreum, in a recent post on their Twitter page....

Stray has something that Elden Ring could not get Stray came out a couple of days ago, and its Steam reviews could not be any better. Many players did not think a game with a setting and character like this would get any attention, but the title made by BlueTwelve Studio has been getting all the praise it deserves. Stray came out on July 19th, and it has set some new ground for Annapurna Interactive....

Update 1.1.8.0 has arrived for Scorn, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. The game is available on many platforms, but this update is only available for Xbox. It’s because there were a few bug fixes need to be done for Xbox consoles. The update doesn’t bring new features to the game; it only fixes the problems. If you had problems with Scorn on your Xbox, this update should make the game more stable....

Shift 2 Unleashed is really fun and exciting. And this is coming straight from the developers so I think we’re gonna need to trust them on this one.
