Harebrained Schemes took to Kickstarter last year seeking cash to fund the return of Shadowrun. Obviously Shadowrun fans are alive and kicking, because the developer saw a huge community pony up cash for the game, making it one of the most successful crowd-funded games of the year. The developers are making good progress, and recently uploaded an alpha gameplay walkthrough of a side-mission in the game, to give a clearer sense of how the game is played “without revealing any spoilers,” says the developer....

Shenmue 3 developers Ys Net have updated their website with the third Dev Room Progress Report, focused on the modeling of new characters, and a message concerning the assistance of the team to any games convention during the month of June. The team says they will invest the time used to prepare conference presentations into the development of the game. The message reads: We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows....

The post-apocalyptic role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei V is hitting shelves soon, and Atlus released a new trailer ahead of the game’s November 12 release. Like other games in the Shin Megami Tensei V series, you play as a silent protagonist who finds himself thrust into a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, filled with violent demons who rule the ruined city. The World in Ruins trailer showcases some more gameplay footage and story elements that we’ve come to expect and love with the Shin Megami Tensei series....

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is filled with small choices that players will need to make, some of which can have a surprising impact on the game. Various game improvements Update 2.50 has arrived for Skyforge and here’s the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. This new update for Skyforge has been released and it’s version 2.50 if you have the PS4 version of the game. The update covers the game from June 28th until July 2nd. There’s bound to be yet another update for the game in the near future. Anyway, today’s update does not add any new content to the game, but it does include a lot of fixes and improvements....

As far as creation games go, Death Stranding is a pretty odd one. Most people viewing from the outside, and some that have played it see the game as a walking sim. The game has some online elements when you create a structure in-game they are uploaded to other users game. Exactly how many users, or how they are selected is not clear. The structures are generally things like simple bridges, roads, ropes and ladders....

The Last of Us Part Part II has suffered a major leak that has revealed the ending and important plot points throughout the story two weeks ago. Since then, Sony and Naughty Dog have conducted investigations to understand how that was possible and ended with a solution to the case. According to Jason Schreier, former Kotaku reporter, the game was leaked by hackers and not by unhappy Naughty Dog developers, as someone had shared last week....

It seems not only SEGA and Atlus that finally takes notes of PC’s popularity. Just today, Sony announced their intention to bring more PlayStation first-party titles to PC in their latest corporate report. In the report, Sony mostly focuses on how they are going to “innovate and evolve the PlayStation Platform” — but they do mention the PC market briefly. Obviously so far it’s all still corporate gibberish and there’s no certainty which title will they port....

Spellbreak may not be the most well-known battle royale out there, but it’s easily one of the better made. One of the year’s most anticipated films is without a doubt Spider-Man: No Way Home. Fans will certainly see it when it releases in theaters on December 17, 2021. After it leaves the theaters, it will come to Disney Plus thanks to a new deal signed between Sony and Disney. Deadline reports that all Sony films released between 2022 and 2026 will stream on Disney+ once they are finished streaming on Netflix....

Luminous Productions was created while most of the team was still working on Final Fantasy XV. While finishing up work on that game, the spin-off studio started work on a new title that would eventually become the working title Project Athia. The game was first seen at last summer’s PS5 showcase event, but we haven’t seen or heard much from it since. That changed with Square Enix’s spring digital event, where the game was given an official name, new footage, and a release window....

The latest patch for Star Wars Battlefront 2 has released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In the latest update, players will find that a new map has been added for the Blast game mode, a ton of tweaks to the Star Card formula, adjustments to heroes, and the inclusion of a new ship for online battles. Disney CEO Bob Iger jumped the gun a bit with his Star Wars Episode 8 announcement that filming had begun it seems, as the company has just now released a new video officially confirming it, while showing a bit of behind the scenes production. Marvel fans were overjoyed to hear that Marvel’s Spider-Man is coming to PC as it’s one of the best superhero games currently available. However, if you pre-ordered Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on Steam, you either need a refund or you have to pay more than that. Steam users in seven countries receive emails from Valve asking them to cancel and renew their preorders for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. After much anticipation, Samsung has today officially announced that its next major Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on August 11. The Korean giant will launch an array of new devices at the event, including new foldables, Galaxy Buds 2, and more. Unfortunately for Samsung, most of the devices that the company is going to launch next month have already leaked online over the past few weeks. Samsung made the announcement for the August 11 Unpacked event via an official blog post....

While Samsung has been pretty successful with its flagship Galaxy devices, the company seems to be confused about its FE series. Back in January this year, we saw the company release the Galaxy S21 FE. Then, the Korean giant released the Galaxy S20 FE 2022 Edition just last month. And now, analysts believe that the company will not release the Galaxy S22 FE. In fact, they think that Samsung might have even canceled the Galaxy FE series....
