Saturday Night Live announced that it would cancel its live audience for the December 18 taping and those in the future. It will also limit the cast and crew working on the show due to concerns over the Omicron variant. In a recent announcement made by the show, the Twitter letter reads, December 18’s taping of the show was set to be the last episode of the year. It was set to feature Paul Rudd as a host, and feature musical guest Charli XCX....

Sonic Colors was originally released on the Nintendo Wii and, at the time, was a bright spot in a string of disappointing Sonic the Hedgehog games. It was much more enjoyable than the Sonic Storybook games. Additionally, Colors introduced the Wisps to the series, an alien race that have been brought back multiple times since. With Sonic Colors being a Wii exclusive, it is easy to see why Sega would want to bring it back with a 4K/60 FPS remaster on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox and a general HD remaster on Nintendo Switch....

Sony has expanded its mirrorless camera portfolio with the launch of two new APS-C offerings – the Alpha 6600 and the Alpha 6100. Both have several similarities, including the same 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, 4K video capability, built-in time-lapse intervalometers, flip screens and microphone jacks. They are also capable of locking focus within 0.02 seconds, have 425 phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) points and real-time eye-tracking for humans and animals. The 6600, as one would deduce from the numbering scheme, is the more premium of the two, and has a few additional features that are absent in the 6100....

The developer of the online sci-fi action RPG Warframe has promised a new free game that will bring fantasy to the action MMORPG craze. The developer, Digital Extremes, showed some videos, but we don’t know much about the game called Soulframe. Warframe Dev Announces Soulframe, Free-to-Play Action MMORPG Digital Extremes presented its plans for the new titles and Warframe at TennoCon 2022. Along with two significant improvements for Warframe (and new Warframes), Digital Extremes also revealed a brand-new game still in the early stages of development and a publishing deal with Airship Syndicate, the developer of Battle Chasers and Darksiders Genesis....

This March should be a huge month for Mortal Kombat 11, between an upcoming tournament and an official reveal of one of its most anticipated characters. NetherRealm announced its Final Kombat event, which serves as the conclusion to the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition. It will take place in Chicago on Mar. 7 and 8. The Last Chance Qualifier for players to get into the tournament will take place on the first day, with Final Kombat closing things out a day later....

In the newly released Wandering Spirits trailer on YouTube, the skin Spirit Blossom Sett was confirmed, and Riot Games subtly teased other League of Legends skins. The trailer follows Sett as he writes a letter to his mother, stating that he is off on a quest to find his akana father. This video confirms that we will be getting a Spirit Blossom event in 2022 for the first time in two years....

Indie studio Triangle Square has been hard at work on a new title, and are finally ready to release it. Spirit Oath, their foray into the real-time strategy genre, releases on Steam Early Access on June 2nd. It will be available for $10, a discount of $5 to celebrate the launch. Its fast-paced action is sure to excite fans of both RTS games and fantasy combat. To go with the release, the team released a trailer that shows off what you can expect along with the story of the game....

You can finally put it on a shelf! Spiritfarer, the hand-drawn psychopomp sim by Thunder Lotus, is getting a physical release this summer for the Ps4 and Nintendo Switch. This release is a collaboration between Thunder Lotus, Skybound Games, and iam8bit inc. In addition to a physical disc or cartridge copy of the game, this release includes some exciting extras like a 96-page digital artbook, collectible postcards/sticker stamps depicting in-game locations, and a digital download card for Max LL’s award-winning Spiritfarer soundtrack....

Square Enix will announce a new “secret” game at E3 2015. Apparently between a press conference that they are holding on day one of the convention and a party in conjunction with IGN, something that is currently being called a “secret title” will be revealed. Today IGN posted a picture of an event invitation which outed the game. The image shows the Atlantic Ocean and various blurred out countries, which has many speculating that the game that will be revealed may be Hitman related....

While the biggest games of this genre are the likes of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, there are many more titles out there. The Story of Seasons franchise has been here for a while, and it is bringing its next entry this year.
