Get ready to go on a sack-sized adventure. Sackboy: A Big Adventure special and deluxe editions have been announced, with a variety of digital and physical goods. Sumo Digital Design Director Ned Waterhouse broke down a new gameplay trailer and the new editions coming soon. Sackboy: A Big Adventure will have a digital deluxe edition for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and a limited special edition for PlayStation 4.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure Deluxe Editions Include Costumes From Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, And More!
The digital deluxe version of the game comes with special content. It features a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, emotes, 20 avatars, and four special Sony first-party costumes. The costumes to don your Sackboy with include Jin from Ghost of Tsushima, Sam Porter Bridges from Death Stranding, Connor from Detroit Become Human, and Deacon St. John from Days Gone.
Similarly, the special edition includes everything in the digital deluxe edition as well as a physical artbook and a cute Sackboy plush toy. While this version is only available for PS4, it includes a free upgrade for PS5. No matter what version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure you pre-order, it also comes with The Gathering Storm digital comic. The comic helps explain some of the backstory and characters for this game.
While the thought of carrying around a baby Sackboy with the Death Stranding costume is slightly disturbing, the costume choice does lack in options. Given the breadth of colorful PlayStation characters and titles, only having a set of dudes from dark and gritty games in the deluxe versions of Sackboy: A Big Adventure is slightly disappointing.
