Saints Row is filled with loads of powerful guns that you can use to take down enemies easily. But what’s better than fighting with one Saints Row weapon? That’s right. Fighting with two weapons. There are tons of ways to take down an enemy in Saints Row. Though, with as many weapons are available to you, there are many to choose from, even including some vehicles. The creators of Saints Row have actually given us the ability to duel wield some of their weapons to make fighting just a little bit more fun for their players. In this article, I will explain how to dual wield weapons and which weapons can be used for dual wielding!

How to Dual Wield in Saints Row

The ability to dual wield in Saints Row comes from a perk. A perk is just an upgrade you can get to better your gameplay and make the game a bit easier for you. Though, it’s an essential way to make you stronger. These can all be unlocked with money from your in-game player’s phone. Simple. Luckily, obtaining these perks to buy is as easy as playing the game. While you progress through missions and the story, you will begin to unlock perks. However, the dual wielding perk is one that is unlocked later in your gameplay. It’s the 20th perk that you will unlock as you play. It may take some time to unlock.

You will have to make your way through your challenge log, one challenge at a time. Once you complete 19 challenges, the Dual Wield perk will become available to you.

Dual Wielding is a major perk, in Saints Row terms, so it won’t be cheap. You will have to pay out a whopping $25,000 for your first perk slot or $100,000 for your second perk slot.

What Weapons Can Players Dual Wield?

Though it’d be super exciting to be able to dual wield something crazy like a rocket launcher or sniper rifle, it just wouldn’t be realistic. The creators of Saints Row may not always have realism in mind when creating their games, but some things still need to ring true (to an extent). When dual wielding in Saints Row, you are limited to only pistol-type weapons and SMG-type weapons. Lame, I know. It’s for the best, though, I promise.
