It’s yet another Thursday, which means it’s time for another set of free games to join the Epic Games Store! This week works a bit differently than previous weeks though. Up to yesterday, we weren’t aware of Saints Row: The Third being part of this week’s offerings, but the team at Volition Studios added it in to celebrate the announcement of the Saints Row reboot. If you’re curious about this, you can see the trailer here. All in all, you can pick up Saints Row: The Third Remastered and Automachef for free from the Epic Games Store this week! This will be followed up next week by the open-world exploration title Yoku’s Island Express.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered doesn’t need too much of an explanation. As the head of the Saints, a powerful crime syndicate, at the height of their power. With plenty of publicity including merchandise though, a powerful group known as The Syndicate has taken notice of the Third Street Saints and is demanding tribute. You’re not the type to back down in the face of danger though, so it’s up to you to take the fight to them. And with this remaster, you can expect this action-packed adventure to feature better graphics so the game feels a bit more modern. You can also take part in all bits of DLC, as expected from a remastering of this style.
And on the other hand is a personal favorite of mine, Automachef. This resource management puzzler sees you take control of various restaurants in an effort to deliver food fast and effectively to your customers. The twist here though is that you’re looking to automate this system, using various machinery to create, top, and box your various dishes. With the levels getting increasingly complex and interesting, it’s up to you to find the best way to satisfy your customers and their ravishing taste buds.
