Salma Hayek, who plays Ajak in Marvel’s Eternals has revealed that she signed a deal to appear in more Marvel movies.

This story spoils major plot points of Eternals. If you have not watched the film, turn back.

In an interview with Smallzy’s Celebrity Talk Podcast, Eternals actress, Salma Hayek, mentioned that she had already signed up for multiple Marvel films. “I did sign multiple movie deals!” she said. “It was kind of fun being part of this… secret society that you have to protect so fearlessly.”

Apart from how many movies did Salma Hayek signed up for, the main question is how will she return to MCU?  Ajak’s scenes in Eternals are all flashbacks before she was betrayed by Ikaris and killed by Kro. There is no way someone is coming back from the land of the dead, so Marvel needs to be more creative about bringing back Eternals’ leader.

The two predictable ways of Hayek’s return to Marvel movies are either the Eternals 2 will be made and we see her in more flashbacks, or there is a whole movie set in the era of Eternals and Ajak will reappear as a guest star.

Either way, Marvel needs to think twice about the sequel since Marvel’s Eternals is currently the lowest-rated MCU film with the rate of 47% in Rotten Tomatoes. Eternals had a $71 million opening weekend box office which is lower than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings with a $94.7 million opening weekend and Black Widow with $80.4 million.

Loki and Eternals with their endings opened up a massive number of possibilities for the future of MCU. Not to forget the introduction of Marvel’s Black Knight will also add to the possibilities. One way or another, we should anticipate the return of Salma Hayek as the leader of Eternals, Ajak.
