Salon owner Richard Glass is riddled with guilt that he didn’t “save” Anne Heche. As many of you are aware, he was the last person to see her alive before her fiery car wreck, which took her life. It’s been made clear that she was on a myriad of deadly drugs, and the outcome was truly brutal. There have also been some people online saying they think he is the one who gave her the drugs. While we don’t agree with that speculation, we truly believe there is nothing he could’ve done.
Salon Owner Richard Glass Guilty Over Anne Heche’s Death
Via TMZ:
Richard, who owns Glass Hair in Venice, tells TMZ he can’t believe people think he’s the one who supplied Anne with cocaine and fentanyl … drugs that were present in her system after the crash. Richard says he’s never done drugs, and the folks accusing him are just hateful. He also thinks a higher power may have sent Anne to his salon so he could somehow save her from death. He’s clearly beating himself up for something over which he had no control, but he feels it, so in his mind, it’s real.
So it’s time to give our two cents on this, and it may not be pretty. It feels an awful lot like Richard Glass is making this Anne Heche tragedy all about him. The reality is, she was clearly a troubled woman, and what exactly does he think he could’ve done? Stopped her from leaving? Said some perfect anecdote that would’ve saved her? Honestly, that doesn’t make much sense.
Look at it like this. He’s never met her before, so he would have no idea what her baseline behavior was like. We can understand why this is troubling him, as it is very distressing. But saying he could’ve saved her is bordering on god complex. She was troubled, and obviously, none of us truly knew that, and it’s sad. But for him to think he could’ve changed the outcome as a stranger is a tad bit unrealistic.
But we wish him peace, and we hope Anne Heche has finally found some peace as well.
