For many gamers, Telltale Games is a household name. Although the company went out of business years ago, their games live on. This is especially true of the Sam & Max games, whose developers banded together to form Skunkape Games. They’ve released remastered versions of Sam & Max Save the World and Beyond Time and Space on PC, Switch, and Xbox. Today, Skunkape announced that the Sam & Max remasters are coming to PlayStation on September 29. Check out the new trailer below:
The end of the trailer only shows us the PS4 logo, but today’s press release implies that the Sam & Max Remasters will also be available on PlayStation 5.
These remasters not only give the detective duo a fresh coat of paint but also mark a significant first for the series.
If you were a fan of point-and-click adventure games in the ’90s, you probably remember Sam & Max from their 1993 adventure Sam & Max Hit the Road. You probably also know that it was one of LucasArts’ many contributions to the genre. Just like LucasArts before it, Telltale may no longer be around, but their games and beloved characters live on. You’ll be able to experience the remastered adventures of Sam and Max on PS4 and PS5 on September 29.
