In a bid to regain capture of the mid-range smartphone market in the country, Samsung recently launched the triple camera-packing Galaxy A7 (2018)in India. The device, which is priced starting at Rs. 23,990, is the company’s first smartphone to feature a triple camera setup on the back.

The Portrait Backdrop feature isolates the subject from the background and allows users to add a texture to the background. As of now, Samsung provides four different textures –Crystal, Pixel, Time Slice, and Crumpled – that you can choose from. Here’s what the effect looks like:

The Portrait Dolly feature, on the other hand, allows users to create short videos or GIFs in which the subject remains stationary while the background moves. The effect tries to emulate what using the camera on a dolly would look like and I must say, it does a decent job. Images captured using the Portrait Dolly effect can add a dramatic twist to your image or possibly a funny one, provided your subject is down for doing some hilarious expressions.
