Developers who work for big studios aren’t just fighting with deadlines. We’ve seen developers getting threatened by fans. It’s shameful to see these threats in 2022, and it also causes the workers’ mental health. Santa Monica Studio is one of the studios getting threatened these days. The studios’ plans are unstable for the upcoming God of War: Ragnarök game release date, and that’s why they’re a target.

God of War: Ragnarök’s producer asked to be patient with the fans, but apparently, that claim just made the fans madder. After the responses came to the producer’s claim, Santa Monica shared an announcement on their Twitter account.

Santa Monica Studio Posts an Announcement About Fans Responses

Undecided statements about the release date triggered gamers. Some fans couldn’t control their excitement and sent threats to the studio’s workers. We’ve already heard similar cases from Electronic Arts and Ubisoft workers in the past. Santa Monica Studios also is uncomfortable about this, and they’ve posted an announcement about the developers’ effort.

We’re hoping to see them as soon as possible. But threatening the developers and hurting people isn’t the solution. A big part of PlayStation gamers are excited about the game, but they also should keep their excitement in control. God of War: Ragnarök didn’t get a release date, but we know it will be released on PS Store this year. If there are development issues like the rumors say, we might play the game in late 2022 or early 2023.

The series’ latest game, God of War 4 (also known as God of War), was a huge hit in 2018. It was also chosen as the game of the year and won many awards. We’re expecting to see more from Kratos and Atreus double.
