Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t consider her gray hair brave. SJP is 57 years old, and the iconic actress is now going gray in some pics. A pretty typical thing to life. But in a world like Hollywood, maintaining a certain image seems to be the norm. From body lifts to lip filler to dyeing hair, accepting one’s true self is rare out there. And while her fans have cheered her gray hair, she doesn’t understand the praise. It’s just hair, after all.

It all started last Summer when Parker was seen out to dinner with some old friends in Manhattan. Her hair was pulled back, but that was the first time anyone other than those close to her saw her graying hair. Photos were taken, and her hair became the talk of the town. What bothered her, she told Allure, was how it essentially became the sole talking point. Like it was the one thing pop culture chose to notice.

50 Shades of Gray

It’s quite telling of her to say “applaud someone else’s courage” because what she is saying is getting gray hair and accepting it is just a part of life. Cancer survivors have courage. She is just aging and doing it quite gracefully as well.

Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t consider her gray hair brave if for no other reason than nothing about it is exceptional. Innumerable people get gray hair when they age. Though most folks in Hollyweird choose to dye or hide that, we celebrate her just letting herself exist.

There is enough terrible stuff going on in the world. Heck, most of us will be full gray by the end of 2023 at this point.
