According to Game Informer’s senior editor Imran Khan, Nintendo could be reviving a “long dead and buried” game.

Information gathered by well known Nintendo-Insider reports this game could be Platinum Games’ Scalebound.

The title had been revealed as an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive, and the intellectual property is owned by Microsoft.

So, if we’re going to be believe this rumor, there’s a chance Microsoft has sold the IP to Nintendo, or Platinum is simply working on the same concept under another brand.

Scalebound was cancelled in January 2017 after a few years in a troubled development, which was run more or less together with Nier Automata.

Platinum Games is already working on two titles for Nintendo Switch, the just revealed Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3, which is still slated for later this year.

It looks like the Japanese developer has a lot on its plate, then, and perhaps Scalebound could be one more thing to add to it.
