Information from a popular Genshin Impact leaker from the Chinese server was recently cross-posted in r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks, revealing that Scaramouche may be one of the next Weekly Bosses to drop in the game. His appearance is leaked to be in Version 3.1, which aligns with the release timeline of Fatui Harbingers from previous updates—Childe in Version 1.1 and La Signora in Version 2.1. According to the leak, the timeline is based on the assumption that there are no major delays caused by Shanghai’s recent COVID-19 outbreak.

Scaramouche, also known as Kunikuzushi or the Balladeer, is one of Genshin Impact’s most-awaited characters. He first appeared in the Unreconciled Stars event in Version 1.1 and remained in the shadows until his re-appearance during the Inazuma Archon Quest. In the recent Hues of the Violet Garden event, Scaramouche played a role in the fourth Event Quest: The Palace, Dyed in Black.

Scaramouche is known to be a failed prototype of the Raiden Shogun, created by Ei. In the Event Quest, he was revealed to have caused the downfall of the Kamisato and Kaedehara clans once upon a time. He has an unknown connection to the Niwa clan, which prompted him to spare Kaedehara Yoshinori’s life after discovering the latter’s affiliation with it.

Given how Version 3.0 onwards will focus on Sumeru’s story, it’s likely for Scaramouche to become a Weekly Boss in the new region. Players are excited for him to become a playable character, prompting the community in r/ScaramoucheMains to grow. As La Signora was never made playable, there’s a slim chance for the same to happen to Scaramouche—but nothing has been confirmed.
