Bandai Namco has announced a new game known as Scarlet Nexus. It’s the first in a new RPG franchise in development by former members of the team behind the Tales Of games. The game will release for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC in the future. There’s no planned release date, but the team did provide a trailer for the game at Xbox’s Series X gameplay event yesterday.
In Scarlet Nexus, take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi. With the power of psycho-kinesis, you’ll explore the vast world that Scarlet Nexus has to offer. It won’t all be sunshine and rainbows though, as much of the world has been inhabited by “Others”. These are hostile creatures who look to go after human brains and take them at all costs. You’re a member of the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense against the alien invaders. With psychic powers in hand, you’ll defeat Others in frantic, high-stakes combat to save your race from extinction.
The story of Scarlet Nexus takes you on a courageous journey of heroism, having you meet exciting characters and fight alongside them. It’s a world filled with both beauty and substance which is great for lore fanatics and those who love aesthetics. The trailer appears to spare no expenses on the gameplay too, with some fast-paced combat that looks to impress you. Scarlet Nexus has everything going for it, and it’ll be exciting to see how it plays out as we get closer to release.
