The Tokyo Game Show has been taking the Japanese gaming world by storm, offering up plenty of new information about your favorite Japanese titles. We’ve seen new gameplay for Resident Evil VIII, Monster Hunter Rise, and much more! Be sure to check out our schedule if you want to know more about what’s been shown. One such story over the weekend came from Scarlet Nexus, an upcoming action role-playing game for consoles and PC. At the event, the team showed off the latest character for the game, Kasane Randall. You can find her story trailer, revealed at the show, below.
Kasane mixes projectile weapons and psychic powers to send devastating shots towards her foes. This makes her the perfect fit for those wanting to slaughter opponents from range, rather than up-close. While we don’t know much about her attacks just yet, she’s one of the two playable characters you can start as in Scarlet Nexus. She joins Yuito, her male counterpart who focuses more on getting up close and personal. To get the full story though, you’ll have to play both characters and experience their adventures.
Her introduction only adds to the excitement players have for Scarlet Nexus. If you haven’t heard of the game before though, you’re missing out. Scarlet Nexus takes place in the distant future when a new hormone has been discovered in the human brain. This grants people insane powers, many of which are imbued into the weapons you’ll use in Scarlet Nexus. As one of the strongest combatants on Earth, it’s up to you to take on an evil force, wanting nothing but to harvest human brains by any means necessary. They’re like zombies, only much more dangerous.
