The wickedly entertaining witch Agatha Harkness is returning to Disney+. Agatha: Coven of Chaos was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, and it will release on the streaming service in the Winter of 2023. The show was initially announced in October as a “dark comedy” spin-off of the highly successful WandaVision. While the show was initially titled Agatha: House of Harkness, it has undergone a name change. Collider points out that the name Coven of Chaos teases two things: Agatha won’t be the only witch in town. And two, Agatha’s got a cauldron full of chaos she is ready to brew.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos Brings Back Beloved Disney+ Villain

We were introduced to Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in the acclaimed Disney+ series WandaVision in 2021. Disguising herself as Wanda and Vision’s friendly, albeit nosey neighbor, Agatha revealed herself as a destructive witch bent on taking away Wanda Maximoff’s powers so she could take Wanda’s identity as the Scarlett Witch. Wanda defeated Agatha, froze her memory, and trapped her in the fictionalized Westview that she had created. While Wanda’s dark turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has made her fate and future uncertain, we still have another witch to look forward to with Agatha, who is undoubtedly up to know goof.

Kathryn Hahn Reprised Praised Role

Evil as Agatha is, Kathryn Hahn made us love her. The actress won numerous awards for the role, and the Munsters-esque theme song “Agatha All Along” topped the iTunes charts. Hahn’s performance was magnificently entertaining, and WandaVision fans will undoubtedly be excited for more.
