Sea of Thieves, despite having a rocky start and releasing now four years ago, is still going strong to this day with large content updates, consistent player counts, and much more! It’s quite the achievement to have a turnaround like that, so to this day it’s still something to appreciate. Despite so many content updates released for the game though, the team is still ensuring they keep creative with what they bring to the Sea of Thieves itself, and this update is no different. Today, the team at Rare has dropped their Sea of Thieves Season Six Content Update video, which you can find below for easy viewing!

The mainstay of Season Six is the new Haunted Forts scattered around select locations of the Sea of Thieves. Unlike your standard forts, Haunted Forts remain at their locations consistently, guaranteeing you some sweet loot. Though it won’t be that easy, as a band of spectral pirates will be looking to keep that treasure there for themselves. Dispatch these foes, and you have yourself both a great hideout and a swathe of sweet loot. Should enemies choose to come for the treasure themselves, you’ll also have plenty of cannon defenses to make them think twice about assaulting you again.

Alongside this, you’ll be able to enjoy a new piece of endgame content, exclusive to Pirate Legend players during the second half of Season Six. Featuring highly replayable missions alongside a host of stories regarding past pirates for you to uncover, it should make for a nice bit of endgame enjoyment for those who’ve had their share of wealth and glory. Speaking of wealth and glory, there’s also a whole new set of rewards that can be earned, with a main free pass and a set of paid Plunder Pass items. Or if that isn’t your style, grab a whole new host of items from the Pirate Emporium using your premium currency.

Needless to say, there will be plenty throughout the season for you to enjoy, all beginning on March 10! What were your thoughts on the Season Six content update video for Sea of Thieves? What are you most excited about? Let me know!
