Microsoft has presented a special edition of the Xbox One controller based on the upcoming Sea of Thieves. The product features a modern color named Atomic Purple and different images inspired by the game like a skull or a compass around the analog stick. It is also covered by traces of a paint that glows in the dark, giving it a modern and dirty look, and, simulating the denture of a true pirate, it has a golden trigger on the back.
The controller launches on February 6 for $74.99, and it’s available to pre-order from Microsoft’s website. Here is the product’s description: “Inspire awe among your crew with this controller’s deep purple translucent design and glowing skull. Includes exclusive in-game Ferryman Clothing Set DLC, 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial, and 14-day Xbox Game Pass trial with access to 100+ games (new subscribers only).”
We picked the game as one of the best early releases of 2018, as it offers a fun take on multiplayer games thanks to its setup and cartoon style. The developers have recently posted a new trailer explaining the ways to increase the reputation of the characters in the game.
Sea of Thieves launches on March 20 for Xbox One and PC.
