What is the Marblebeard Error in Sea of Thieves?
The Marblebeard Error is described as, “Your game is currently unable to communicate with the server it is trying to join. Please check your home network including firewall /anti-virus configuration and other networking options such as NAT type.”
If struck by Marblebeard, it’s time to begin troubleshooting your network. Fortunately, a few simple steps will likely resolve the issue:
- Ensure that you’re connected to the internet. If the device you’re playing Sea of Thieves on can’t connect to the Internet, check another device to see if it’s a local problem with the Xbox console or PC.If the problem is local with the Xbox or PC, reboot it to see if that resolves the issue.If no device in your home network can connect to the internet, power cycle your modem and router, ensuring you leave the power unplugged for at least 30 seconds.Should your modem / router / gateway be unable to connect and power cycling didn’t resolve the issue, reach out to your ISP for support.
