Second Extinction is a new title by developer Systemic Reaction. They are a division of Avalance Studios Group, the group responsible for the Just Cause series. Despite Systemic Reaction being only a small team, ASG felt it was time for the team to branch out.
Made up of 35 devs from over a dozen countries, this is the first release by the Sweden-based team. Todd Andersson, Systemic Reaction’s managing director, assured potential fans of lasting game support from his team:
Lead Producer Brynley Gibson shared that the team is ready to explain additional details. And maintains that gamers will be able to look at the development roadmap.
Second Extinction Storyline and Features
The planet Earth is once again home to ancient bloodthirsty creatures in Second Extinction. Dinosaurs have returned and are nothing like archaeology once said. They have come back with dangerous mutations. Raptors have developed the ability to fight with electricity.
Featuring three-person co-op, you can take on history’s greatest predators with two friends. Turn the tide on raptor herds with explosive weapons and special abilities. It is important to work as a squad to ensure victory.
There are plans for a closed beta release this week. Through the beta, developers will work out what aspects fit the best with their plans. Depending on the reception, some features may become a permanent addition to Second Extinction.

The closed beta will take place on the PC version. But later this year, Second Extinction will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
