Young Justice showrunner Greg Weisman confirmed that the second half of Young Justice season 4 will go on hiatus before finishing. This Young Justice hiatus is set to last until spring 2022. Weisman then went on to say in a press release,

He also explained that the first 21 episodes of Young Justice season 4 are, “in the can and ready to air.” The last episodes, however, have all been animated and are currently in post-production. Weisman expects that all of it will be completed by the end of November.

The Long Road to Young Justice Season 4

Young Justice season 4 (or Young Justice: Phantoms) surprised everyone by dropping the first two episodes on HBO Max. This was also during the DC FanDome virtual convention. As of now, the season is keeping with a regular schedule until December 30 (episode 13). The other half of the season (episodes 14-26) will then be posted weakly in the spring of the new year.

Young Justice originally premiered on Cartoon Network in 2010, with the first season finishing in 2012. Cartoon Network canceled the show after its second season, Young Justice: Invasion (2012-2013). Years after the cancellation, the DC Universe streaming service saved the series and brought it back for a third season. Now, the show is on HBO Max.

Currently, new episodes of Young Justice: Phantoms air on Thursdays on HBO Max.
