Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse – New Trailer and Everything We Know So Far

The second official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse has been released and offers our first deep look at the upcoming sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the SpiderVerse. The first trailer for the film was revealed in December 2021 by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and offered only a small glimpse at the film’s plot and characters, but confirmed that Spider-Gwen would be making a reappearance alongside the main character, Miles Morales.

Since then, we have gotten more information on the film in the form of new screenshots, the Across the SpiderVerse trailer, as well an official plot description from Sony, which reads:

‘ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE’ follows Miles Morales as he is catapulted across the Multiverse & encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders.

Some of the characters featured in the film will be Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Oscar Isacc, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Jorma Taccone as The Vulture, and various others. Hailee Seinfeld will also be reprising her role as Gwen Stacy, or Spider-Gwen.

Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse is set to release exclusively in theaters on June 2, 2023, the new trailer reconfirms. It was originally set to release this year before unfortunately being delayed. Luckily, there has been no news on any further delay and it seems the film is set to release in June of next year with little issue.
