Eddie Murphy was honored with his career achievement Cecil B DeMille award, at the 2023 Golden Globes. While accepting the award, the renowned actor referenced the infamous Will Smith Oscars slap.
Eddie took the stage at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Tuesday and paid homage to his long-standing career in the entertainment industry. He thanked those who helped pave the way and those who supported his journey.
The comedian proceeded to offer some hilarious advice for working in the industry.
“There’s three things: pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your f***ing mouth!” Eddie proclaimed to the audience.
