Dead Island 2 is making a splash at Gamescom with live demos, gameplay footage and more. One thing is certain, I want to kill zombies.
The footage below is via IGN and their live footage from Gamescom that was recently uploaded. It shows about six minutes of footage from the game while also getting some insight from the developers at YAGER. Specifically Bernd Diemer, the Game director and Daniel Nordlander the Game Designer.
The footage went on to reveal that the game not only takes place in Los Angeles but also in San Francisco and an unnamed third city that will be revealed at a later date. Modes of transportation between these areas include vehicles and fast travel via map. They also announced the return of fire mods and electric mods and the ability to dual wield weapons in Dead Island 2. They proudly announced that the zombies you will encounter in the game is actually the entire YAGER development team so as you kill, you will actually be killing YAGER developers-how nice. You will also be able to modify guns in the game, unlike previous Dead Island titles. Check out the footage below.
