Sega made the announcement that the Sega Genesis Mini 2 will release in North America. At this time, the console will also include more than 50 games. This also includes Sega CD (Mega-CD) titles.

The game list is as follows;

Two more titles that were never released for Genesis will also be included with these games. These include;

As Sega is releasing new game announcements every three weeks, more game titles are to be expected for the Western version. The given list does not include any of the games that have already launched on the 2019 Genesis Mini.

North America’s Sega Genesis Mini 2: What to Expect With the Console

The console itself will come with the iconic 6-button pad. It will be compatible with the original Genesis Mini. As of now, it can be pre-ordered for the price of $103.80 USD plus shipping (a whopping $21.99 USD). Because the Genesis Mini 2 is powered by an entirely new system compared to the 2019 Mini, it will include larger flash storage and improved processing.

Sega released the Mega Drive Mini console in Japan in September 2019. It was also released in the US under the same name on the same day. Japan then received a Mini Drive release shortly after. Both versions of the console feature 42 games, though the included games are different. The Mega Drive is currently Sega’s third console, with the original one being in 1989. The Sega Genesis withdrew from the console market in 2001.
