SEGA has just announced that it will host a Sonic Central live stream on May 27 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. As you might expect, the live stream will feature a first look at some of the “projects, partnerships, and events” regarding the company’s ever-popular Blue Blur mascot.

Interestingly, there might have been hints on what SEGA is going to showcase at the event. First, there was a leak about the development of a Sonic Color remaster from a German voice-over studio. Then a French retailer Sogamely listing suggested something about a new “Sonic collection” project. And lastly, Total Licensing, a magazine dedicated to licensing information, talked about the Sonic Prime Netflix animation series, Sonic Mania LEGO set, as well as a “music concert” that will feature several “special guests.” If you’re a Sonic fan, 2021 is definitely going to be a big year for you.
