Seth Rogen is the latest name to be revealed for The Twilight Zone. The 36-year-old comedian will star in one episode of this 2019 reboot, based on the 1959 TV series of the same name. The show, originally created and narrated by Rod Serling, is a series of standalone stories taking place in “the fifth dimension”, the titular Twilight Zone. The characters in said stories experience strange and surreal phenomena in stories that can be described as science-fiction and psychological horror.

The news that Seth Rogen would be joining The Twilight Zone cast came on the show’s official Twitter, showing a flashy image of the Superbad star.

The Twitter page also retweeted a photo taken by Jacob Tremblay, who is also confirmed to appear on the show. He described himself and Seth Rogen as ‘Canadian Good Boys’. It’s likely he and Rogen will star in the same episode:

Tremblay is due to appear in an episode titled The Wunderkind. It is expected to take on a comedic tone, which makes the inclusion of Seth Rogen appropriate. The Canadian actor has had several comedy hits under his belt including Neighbours, The Sausage Party and Knocked Up. Therefore, he’s bound to bring the laughs here.

If you can’t get enough of Rogen (even after rewatching his movies a million times), then you can expect to see him a few more times this year. This May, he stars alongside Charlize Theron as a journalist who courts his former babysitter in Long Shot. Hilariously, said former babysitter is also the US Secretary of State and a frontrunner for the Presidency.

Then, Seth Rogen will star in Trial of the Chicago 7 in a more dramatic role. This biopic centers around the infamous trial where seven defendants were charged by the federal government with conspiracy.

The series will premiere April 1st, 2019 on CBS All-Access.
