Shanna Moakler’s boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, has responded to several charges of domestic violence by the LA City attorney. Rondeau pleaded not guilty to the charges that stemmed from an issue they had sometime in February this year.
The Issue Between Shanna Moakler and her Boyfriend Matthew Rondeau
According to reports from TMZ, Moakler and Rondeau were having a fight on February 23rd this year. Due to the fight, the one-time Miss USA had to spend the night with a neighboring family. The fight led to Rondeau posting a disturbing video on Instagram the next day, February 24th, 2022.
In the video, he hurled insults at his girlfriend using several abusive words while claiming that she cheated on him. When she returned home on Thursday morning, the fight got more physical. The cops were invited, and Rondeau was picked up.
Before the brawl, there had been reports of Rondeau’s growing jealousness of his girlfriend’s closeness to Lamar Odom since the Celebrity Big Brother show. Rondeau, 29, raged to the point of unfollowing Moakler on Instagram and took down every photo of her from his page.
Between LA City Attorney and the Couple
Following the February incident between the couple, the LA City Attorney charged Rondeau with battery and vandalism, misdemeanor, and domestic violence. Although he has a pretrial hearing on Monday, Rondeau has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.
Moakler, when talking to TMZ, said that she won’t be pressing any charges. Of course, she wouldn’t, as she and Rondeau are back together. She also confirmed that she was carrying his child. In her words:
Rondeau claimed that the media has portrayed him in a bad light, and he hopes the city of LA will give him a chance to prove them wrong. He went on to state that he was an admirable person, an amazing son who is very respectable and a loving partner.
Hopefully, he scales through this hurdle and effects the necessary changes going forward. Everyone would agree that a beauty queen deserves to be treated better.
