Starting as a Kickstarter in 2015, Shape of the World is a first person explorer from developer Hollow Tree Games. Shape of the World was already announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and now will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Surrounded by a colorful ecosystem of flourishing flora, waterfalls, mountains, monoliths, and graceful creatures, you’re cast as an outsider as you explore this breathtaking world.

Shape of the World is all about getting yourself pleasantly lost in this relaxing interactive escape. Your presence is the driving force behind the procedurally populated environment as you travel through forests, caves, and peaceful shores.

While no dangers await you in Shape of the World, the most intriguing part of the game is how the world materializes around you as you interact with the environment. It also grows differently each time you retrace your steps, meaning that it will look different every time.

The audio in Shape of the World will also shift along with the visuals, providing an enveloping aural and immersive experience. Shape of the World will definitely be one of those games where the focus is on visual and aural stimulation.

If you’re headed to GDC or Pax East, you can test out Shape of the World at the Indie Megabooth showcase. Shape of the World will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC this spring.
